WordPress as a Site Builder
The last couple of days were used to customize wordpress as a site builder for all the sites I’m planning to build. People look for the magic SEO formula… They are willing to pay for the perfect SEO site builder software… while the perfect content management software is at their fingertips, and best of all it’s free.
Wordpress provides a great solution not only for building blog sites, but also for regular mini site creation.
I’ve tried wordpress out and even without any customization it has provided good results in the search engines.
I’m finding it easier working on my content-Adsense sites adding a page everyday as I’ve promised myself, easier than planning my PPC site strategy. There is still a mental block when it comes to working on a project where every day’s testing will cost me money. Especially when my plan is to compete with the big boys in crowded areas, and as of now my estimate is having to spend about $1000 on testing before steady income will arrive.
While studying my competition I keep thinking should I just do as they do… or should I try marketing to the same crowd with a twist. “My twist” might give me an edge or it might be wrong for the crowd I’m targeting. I know the answer to most of these questions is to test and see what works and this is basically what I’m going to do.
About the challenge:
As of now - 2 people are taking it and blogging about it, as you can see in the links 2 the right.
4 people are taking it and reporting their progress in the Turning Ideas into Dollars members forum.
3 people have left messages saying that they are taking the challenge but have not followed up with reporting their progress.
So now that my site builder is chosen and customized. Now that content is being added daily to my SEO-Adsense strategy sites. I’m ready to start working on the PPC sites.
As always - if you want to join the challenge…

I think using Wordpress as a site builder is fantastic idea. If you have limited number of article, you may want to reduce the number of posts that you display on the front page.
Oh yeah … I did a small adjustment where you can have a special part appear in only the frontpage of WordPress. Have a look at my blog … and then try go in deeper. You can see that the main subscription form is only available on the frontpage … Cool eh?

While I’m all about building WP sites (and believe me, I am - it’s an awesome tool) - remember to give back for all the hard work that was put into the software.
If you decide to use WP as a site builder, consider donating (every little bit helps), contributing and helping others in their support forum, or creating templates/tutorials for others who may need some help.
That said - using WP as a site builder is an excellent idea Nadav

Teli -> I agree with every word you said… You know who I learned WordPress from…
Andre -> This is Kubrik with adjustments:
a. Added sidebar to regular posts.
b. Added Adsense
c. Today I added the Keywords Meta Tag - to make the adsense ads more relevant.

Time To Apply What You’ve Learned
Earlier, I talked about the importance of getting yourself educated. Now that I’ve finished reading (or well, semi-finished), it’s time to actually apply what I’ve learned to some real world examples.
Personally, this can be the scariest part bec…
